Taxi and van services for transportation from the MTY Airport to the city are provided by companies authorized by the airport authority in Monterrey, Mexico. The taxi companies authorized and certified for safety include APR, Casco, Ecofy, Executive Transportation, Golden, Helmet, Suburban, Totsa and TPA. We strongly recommend PICMET’23 participants to use one of the authorized companies. You can call any of these companies and buy tickets at the taxi kiosk in Monterrey airport where direct telephone line to the taxi companies is available. You can also request a driver who speaks English. There is usually a person at the taxi kiosk area to help you if you need help.
Please note that there are two Crowne Plaza Hotels in Monterrey. Make sure to ask your driver to take you to the downtown location (Address: Constitución Oriente 300, Centro, 64000 Monterrey, N.L., Mexico). The average cost of a trip is 600 Mexican pesos ($30-35 depending on exchange rates). Up to three passengers can share the ride with most companies. Transportation companies also provide group transportation using SUVs (up to 8-10 people) for 1200 - 1500 Mexican pesos ($70-90).
Uber is not available at the airport, but you can use Uber to take you back from the hotel to the airport, if you prefer. The hotel can help you with it.
