Submission of the abstract, up to 200 words long, for any of the six
submission types listed below:

Panel discussion: Brief presentations
by 3-4 panelists followed by a Question/Answer session |

Session: Three papers by different
authors addressing various aspects of an issue |

Tutorial: Authoritative presentation on
critical topics in technology management |
6. |
Workshop: Half-day or full-day
discussion of specific topics |

of the review of abstracts under the Abstract
Evaluation Criteria and notification of the authors about the
accept/reject decision for

- Step-4: Peer review process for the papers under the
Paper Evaluation Criteria
- Step-5: Accept/reject/modify decision for the paper
from PICMET to the authors
- Step-6 (Deadline:
April 19, 2024):
Submission of the finalized paper with a list of the modifications made using Microsoft Word in two-column format (Paper formatting guidelines to assist the authors)
- Step-7: Evaluation of the finalized paper by PICMET for required corrections and notification of the authors of the final acceptance/rejection.
- Step-8 (Deadline:
April 30, 2024):
Submission of the copyright forms and the registration of at least one of the authors of each paper. This is also the latest date for early registration discount.
Peer Review Process:
All submissions to PICMET are subjected to a peer review process. This is the step after the full manuscript have been submitted by the author(s). Each
submission is evaluated by one or more referees using the Paper Evaluation Criteria for each type of paper. The accept/reject decision for the papers is made after the peer review process is completed and the authors make the recommended changes. The
finalized papers, along with the copyright forms, are submitted to PICMET by
April 30, 2024.
Evaluation Criteria:
Abstracts Abstracts are evaluated using the following "Abstract Evaluation Criteria"
1. Relevance to Technology Management
2. Relevance to the theme of the conference
3. Significance of the topic
4. Potential impact on Technology Management
Papers
The full manuscripts are subjected to a
peer review process using the following "Paper Evaluation
Criteria"
Research Papers:
- Originality of the research
- Relevance to Technology Management
- Technical accuracy
- Appropriateness of the research methodology
- Significance of the findings
- Adequacy of references
- Contribution to the state of knowledge
- Impact on Technology Management
- Clarity of the paper
Applications Papers
- Relevance to Technology Management
- Adequacy of the information provided (including but not limited to cases, descriptions of industrial applications, and successful and unsuccessful examples of technology management strategies in existing and emerging technologies)
- Importance of the lessons learned
- Potential contribution to future applications
- Clarity of the paper
