Transportation From Portland International Airport to  the Conference Venue

Portland International Airport (PDX) offers many convenient transportation alternatives. Please click on any of the options below to find a service to fit your needs:

Transportation Options

Airport Max
It is very economic and easy transportation. The Pioneer Square North MAX stop just one block from the Hilton Hotel.
Car Rentals

Ground Transportation Search
This search function will provide you with a list of service providers or destinations served by town cars, limousines, downtown and regional shuttles and hotel shuttle buses.

Finding the Ground Transportation Center
The pick-up area for taxis, town cars, shuttle vans and other transportation providers is located on the west side of the parking garage. Taxis, town cars, long haul shuttles, hotel vans, and parking lot shuttle buses are located in the center section of the terminal's lower roadway (baggage claim/departure level). Airporter shuttles, off-airport rental car shuttles and reserved vehicles are found in the section of the lower roadway closest to the garage.

Persons traveling between the terminal and Long-Term Parking will need to use an airport parking shuttle bus or the garage tunnels. All airport parking shuttle buses are equipped to transport wheelchairs.



Ground Transportation Options
The following fare information is provided by the transportation providers and is subject to change without notice.

Airport MAX Light Rail Red Line

• The Airport MAX light rail Red Line service runs from Portland International Airport to downtown Portland every 15 minutes.
• A one-way trip takes 38 minutes.
• Tickets may be purchased at an automated ticket machine, conveniently located near the Airport MAX station or at a MAX station stop in the Portland area.

Taxis (Metered Rate)

• Five taxi companies serve PDX, available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Fare: per vehicle - $22-$28 one-way to downtown.
• Travel time: approximately 20-40 minutes to downtown.

Hotel Courtesy Vans

• Many hotels provide free pick-up service for their guests. The Reservation Board located in baggage claim will tell you if your hotel provides this service.
• Fare: free to certain hotels.
• Travel time: approximately 20-40 minutes to downtown.
• To request pickup, contact the hotel directly. However, Doubletree Hotels and most Shilo Inns have regularly scheduled service every half hour, and Holiday Inn-Downtown offers hourly service. These hotels do not need to be called.

Shuttles (Flat Rate)

• Many shuttles operate from PDX to various areas around Portland.
  Available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Fare: per person - not regulated and will vary, determine your rate before you start your trip. Some shuttles offer discounted rates for travelers to certain hotels, check with your hotel.
• Travel time: approximately 20-40 minutes to downtown.
• If you reserved a vehicle, please check-in at the Information Booth located on the Ground Transportation roadway.

Executive Cars (Flat Rate)

• Executive cars operate from PDX to various areas around Portland.
• Available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Fare: per vehicle - not regulated and will vary, determine your rate before you start your trip.
• Travel time: approximately 20-40 minutes to downtown.
• If you reserved a vehicle, please check-in at the Information Booth located on the Ground Transportation roadway.

Rental Cars & Offsite Parking

• Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar, and National are located in the rental car center on the first floor of the parking garage.
• Thrifty and Enterprise have kiosks near the rental car center.
• Shuttles to offsite parking for Park-n Fly and Thrifty are located on the Ground Transportation roadway nearest the rental car center.
