Gerald Williams is managing partner of Construction Research LLC, which he founded in 1996 to bring
Operations Research level analysis to help resolve complex construction disputes. He taught
Construction Management, Construction Law and Contracts, Construction Claims, and Project
Management at Portland State University from 1995 to 2008.
Dr. Williams’ career began as a civil design engineer, he went on to a project management position for a
city urban renewal agency, and an estimator, project engineer, and construction manager for general
building contractors. Notable projects include the Oregon Arena (now the Moda Center), Salmon Run
Tower, OHSU BIC Center, the Rogue Valley Medical Center and the VA Portland Bridge.
Dr. Williams earned a B.S in civil engineering, from Oregon State University, a Master of Engineering
Management from Washington State University, and a Ph.D. in Systems Science: Engineering
Mangement from Portland State University. He has been a registered professional engineer since 1985
and is currently registered and licensed to practice engineering in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. |
